🍀 Little Luck
Account & Data Deletion
1. Overview & Policy Commitment
Little Luck is committed to user privacy, transparent data ownership, and strict data minimization.
By default, all journal moments are stored strictly on your local device. If you chose to sign in with your Google account to enable optional Cloud Sync, your cloud journal is stored in Google Cloud Firestore and protected by strict per-user authentication rules.
You have the unconditional right to delete your cloud account and all associated personal data at any time. We provide two ways to request permanent deletion:
- Method 1: Instant In-App Deletion (Immediate, self-service via the app)
- Method 2: Email Deletion Request (If you uninstalled the app or lost device access)
2. Method 1: In-App Self-Service Deletion (Immediate)
You can permanently delete your account, authentication record, and cloud database entries directly from within the Little Luck application:
Step-by-Step In-App Instructions
- Open the Little Luck app on your Android device.
- Tap the Me & Settings tab in the bottom navigation bar.
- Verify that you are signed in with the Google account you wish to delete (under the Account & Sync section).
- Scroll down to the Data Management section.
- (Optional) If you would like to keep a personal offline copy of your journal moments before deletion, tap Export Backup (JSON) to copy your memories to your clipboard or file manager.
- Tap Delete Account & Cloud Data.
- A confirmation modal titled "Delete Account & Cloud Data?" will display a summary of the action. Review the warning and tap Delete Permanently.
-
Security Reauthentication: If your session has expired or Firebase requires recent credentials, Google Play Services will automatically display a Google Sign-In prompt to verify account ownership.
What Happens When You Confirm In-App Deletion
- Immediate Cloud Purge: All lucky moments and journal entries stored in Cloud Firestore under your unique User ID (
users/{uid}/moments/*) are permanently deleted.
- User Profile Deletion: The parent user document in Cloud Firestore (
users/{uid}) is permanently deleted.
- Auth Account Deletion: Your Firebase Authentication user account and credentials are permanently destroyed.
- Local Cache Purge: All cached moments and sync tokens linked to your account are erased from device storage.
- Safe Offline Reversion: The app immediately resets to a clean, isolated offline journal session. Any purely local, device-only moments you created before signing in remain safely on your physical device.
3. Method 2: Request Deletion via Email (Web Request)
If you have uninstalled Little Luck, no longer have access to the mobile device, or cannot log in, you can submit a manual deletion request via email.

Offline Device-Only Data Note
If you used Little Luck without signing in (or before signing in), notes created in offline mode reside exclusively on your physical device. Little Luck never transmits offline notes to the cloud without your explicit sign-in and sync. You can wipe all offline data anytime directly in the app via Me & Settings -> Data Management -> Clear All Moments, or by navigating to Android Settings -> Apps -> Little Luck -> Storage & Cache -> Clear Storage, or by uninstalling the application.
5. Security & Technical Safeguards
- Reauthentication Guard: To prevent unauthorized deletion of accounts, Firebase sensitive operations require reauthentication if your session is stale.
- Transactional Batch Purging: Cloud deletion operations are batched to guarantee that all moments and parent documents are removed cleanly without leaving orphaned records.
- Zero Tracking: Little Luck does not share data with data brokers, advertisers, or third parties.
